Knit ATX
Knitting is a huge part of my life, so when my friend opened a yarn shop last June and asked me to run their socials I immediately said yes. I’ve been shooting photos, videos, and designing posters for the shop since.
Over the course of a year, I’ve grown our grassroots following from 0 followers to nearly 1800 with no budget or equipment—just an iPhone and a love of yarn.
Community Growth
Fiber arts have thousands of years of history rooted in community, which makes social gatherings a huge part of our business. We offer classes and multiple monthly events to bring our people together. Diversity, inclusion, and charity are at the heart of what we do for our community.
I go to all of our events to shoot footage and photos, edit and post them to our socials, design event and class posters, and plan social media at our monthly marketing meetings.
